Recently, some information was released regarding the benefit, in which Caixa would release more installments, however, so that you can get more details about it, continue reading.

FGTS - What is it and how does it work?

Even before we can provide more information about the installments that will be released from the FGTS, it is interesting that we highlight what exactly it is about.

As previously noted, the acronym in question refers to the Severance Indemnity Fund.

Briefly explaining, the benefit in question basically represents a monthly deposit into your Caixa account.

The deposit in question is made by your boss and, in fact, it is a contribution in addition to your salary.

In other words, no amount is deducted from the payroll.

However, the amount deposited monthly is equivalent to 8% of your monthly remuneration.

If the boss is late to make the deposit, it is worth saying that he will have to bear the consequences, which in this case is a fee.

The money, as already mentioned, is directed to a CAIXA account.

However, it doesn't just stop there.

The amount you have in your name is used to contribute towards the minimum citizenship conditions imposed by the government, such as basic sanitation, education, health and much more.

However, this does not mean that when it is possible to withdraw and you then wish to carry out such an operation, the amount will not be made available.

And speaking of making your money available, it is worth saying that it can come from two specific moments.

The first one is once a year, in which the government makes it possible to withdraw a certain amount from one of your inactive accounts.

But this is not mandatory.

The other form of withdrawal, which is also the most common, is when leaving your job.

But for that, it is necessary to work according to the rules of the CLT.
